General FAQs
Do the 49mm Arctic CP filters work with the MagFlip Hood?
Yes! The 49mm Arctic CP filters are fully compatible with the MagFlip Hood.
How does the Arctic CP differ from your other polarizers?
Most polarizers have an inherent stop value of ~1.3 to 1.6. The Arctic CP has a stop value of ~0.8 to 1.3, so it lets more light through. The short throw rotation feature also means you'll be able to turn the filter through the whole polarization range 5x more quickly than with standard polarizers - great for quick changes on the fly.
Does the Arctic CP fit inside stock lens hoods?
Yes! The frame has been slimmed down as compared to our other filters, so that the Arctic CP can be used with stock lens hoods.
Does the Arctic CP work with standard lens caps?
No. We took a slightly different approach with the Arctic CP frame - the overall diameter is slimmer, so that the CP can fit inside standard lens hoods. Due to how thin we had to make the frame, it wasn't possible to include front threads - meaning stock lens caps won't work.
Can I stack other filters on top of the Arctic CP models?
It depends a bit. The Helix Arctic CP filter can be stacked with any other Helix filter model. The threaded Arctic CP filters would need to be in the front of any stack, given the absence of front threads.
