The Portra Filter embodies the color profile of the classic PORTRA 400. The glass delivers a soft, organic Portra style look and feel straight out of camera. The glass combines a custom color tone, white mist diffusion, and chroma polarizer, which creates warm highlights, natural skin tones, and controls unwanted glare.

FAQs
How does this filter differ from the CineGold?
The Portra filter is specifically designed to emulate Portra 400 film, while the CineGold leans into more of a Kodak Gold vibe. Also - the CineGold is a pure mist filter, while the Portra has an integrated Chroma PL.
Can the polarization be turned off?
No, it cannot.
Are the images above raw, or color-corrected?
The images are raw, aside from the effect of the filter in the Portra samples.
What are the recommended color temperature and whitebalance to use with the Portra filter?
Portra runs softened contrast, lifted shadows, slight warmth, and subtle magenta bias. Your white balance shouldn’t fight that, it should help refine it. In terms of color temperature, 5200K-5600K (daylight range) tends to work well - this keeps skin tones natural while letting the Portra warmth show through, without turning orange.
